LG Chocolate BL40 How Do I? Guides - Camera

 

This Camera guide will show you how to take a picture using the LG Chocolate BL40's 5 megapixel camera.

Step 1 - Switch your Camera on

Turn your handset into landscape mode and press and hold on to your Camera shortcut button.

 

Alternatively, you can access the Camera from within the main menu. Select the Menu icon (bottom left of home screen) and then select Camera from within the Entertainment section.

 

If your video camera function has been activated, simply slide your finger up on the virtual switch/toggle found on the right hand side of your camera controls.

Step 2 - What's those icons at the top?
 

 

Along the top of your screen you will see the following:

 

  1. Resolution
  2. Scence mode
  3. ISO settings
  4. Storage location - memory card or phone memory
  5. How many images can be taken
  6. Battery life meter.

Step 3 - Ummm some more icons on the left

Along the left hand-side of the screen you'll notice some icons.

 

  1. Scene mode - choose from 5 different settings
  2. Flash - choose from 4 different settings
  3. Macro - 2 different settings
  4. Image Quality - 3 different settings
  5. Camera Settings - 14 different settings

Step 4 - It's a little dark but I don't need the flash

To brighten up your picture use the contrast slider on the right hand-side of your view finder.

Step 5 - I need to zoom in

To zoom in or out use the zoom slide on the left hand-side of your view finder.

Step 6 - Right, say cheese
 

Select Take a picture - click to enlarge

To take your picture press and hold on to the Camera shortcut button on the top of the mobile phone (whilst holding it in landscape orientation) until the green square appears.

 

Alternatively you can press and hold on to the camera switch/toggle until you see the green square.

Step 7 - Ummm, what should I do with my picture?

Select who to send it to - click to enlarge

Once you have taken you picture, why not share it or use it as a contact ID or wallpaper?

 

To send it to a friend please select Send and then choose whether you want to send it via a MMS, Email, Bluetooth or you can add it to your Google Blog.

 

To use it as a contact ID or wallpaper select Use as and select Contacts Image to set it as a contact ID or select Homescreens and then select which screens you would like the picture to appear on.

 

You can even edit the picture by selecting Edit.
